The hull shape indicates a boat from 1960 or earlier. The wood trim on the decks, the cockpit and seating layout point towards one of the deluxe models such as the Thomboy or Sea Skiff Deluxe.
Yup, need to get the hull ID and serial number. The hull ID is stamped into the wood of the transom, inside the boat. The serial number is on a small rectangular metal tag. Get those numbers/codes and also EVERYTHING and EXACTLY what the serial tag says. Also need dimensions to narrow down the model.
Do not assume a motor was original to the boat. Outboard motors were simple to chnage.
