I am in the process of restoring a 1958 Sea Lancer and am working on the bottom of the hull. There is a little delamination that I can see on the inside of the large bottom planks and I am trying to decide wether to replace them or not. How much delamination is too much? How hard is it to get these off and replace them? Is it very hard to get tho plywood to conform to the shape of the hull and are there any special tricks for this? It looks like I would have to remove the forward curved part of the keel that exstends up the bow, is this correct? I may also want to replace this part as well because of a crack in it. How hard is it to steam bend something like this? Thanks for your help. Jim

Replace it! Do you want to trust the old junky, problamatic stuff to bring you and your friends and family back to shore safely?????

Yup, remove the outer keel and stem.
