Does anyone know of a product that would work as a suitable guide tube in my old outboard? I have a 1967 Mercury 500 and the pre-existing guide tube is crumbling to bits. I would think it needs to be able to withstand a bit of heat as it is near the exhaust tube. According to my parts diagram, there should also be a seal where the guide tube inserts into the assembly. Strange the water pump kit didn't have either of these parts. Open to suggestions.

Re: Guide Tube Replacement
I finally found one and made the order a few days ago. Man, parts for this motor are sometimes difficult to track down, but it's worth it as it sure looks good on the 64 Sea Coaster. I'll check out that site, thanks Andreas.
Now searching for a starter solenoid. The modified trim pump solenoid with a homemade bracket is working for now though.
