with all of the pictures I took back in 2011 of the boat, I can't find a good shot of the outer keel and its distance from the transom. this is a 1957 15' sea coaster deluxe (model 477). plus, I had to shorten the boat by just over an inch. BUT, I do remember the outer keel did not reach the transom. in the picture I have, it appears to be short of the transom by about two or three inches. does that seem correct? appreciate your help...

Hey Andre
Don't know if it applies, but on my Cortland built sea lnacer (17.6 footer) the keel cap ends about 12 inches or so before the transom, and the last 10 inches or so of the keel cap tapers to a point. This is the best picture I have on hand (taken right before repairing all that delamination on the Garboard panels). I'm in the process of redoing my bottom (see the thread "Cross Roads") and have the Keel cap off, so I can provide more pics if you wish
