"Sea Lancer" Emblem & Dash "Eye Brow"

When I was procurring some items for my late-model Sea Lancer last week, the fellow asked me if I had the Sea Lancer emblem that went on the passenger-side of the dash. I told him this was the first I had heard of one. He also asked if I had the "eye brow" for the dash. I guess it's a vinyl-covered foam piece that mounts to the top edge of the dash plank. Never heard of that, either. Needless to say, this guy is more than willing to sell me these items at the going rate for unobtanium.
Anyone have a pic of either of these accessories? I'm curious to see what they look like. Thanks.

The padded "eye brows" were ONLY on the 1962 Thompson Bros. Boat Mfg. Co. of Peshtigo, WI Sea Lancer and Off-Shore open models. They were only used on those two models and they were only used in 1962.
Starting in 1962 Thompson of Peshtigo started to put a chromed metal model name plate on the dashboard of the boats. They never did this on pre-1962 models.

Greetings,
I'm a new member in this organization ( yesterday, in fact). I recently bought a 1962 Sealancer. It has a Peshtigo tag with a hull #22539. It has the "eyebrows" and dash medallion. The current power plant is a 1962 75 HP Johnson. The previous owner did an extensive restoration on the boat after enjoying it for 15 years. I now own a boat with a 7 year old restoration which looks very clean, as in ,nearly new. I'm planning two changes on this boat before it gets placed in service for this summer season. I have a 1962 Mercury 850 (85 HP) that is a "takeoff" from a vintage ski boat that has been in storage for 35 years. I'm hoping that with some fresh seals and general tweaking that this motor will give years of fun. My other change is to restore the original "Lemonade" hull color. The previous owner did his repaint in white as that was the preference of his wife! My wife prefers the "Lemonade". "If Momma ain't happy, then nobody happy"! I have spent some time on this site doing research. George Kirby Paint has appeared as a possibility. Is there a specific paint # to meet this application? How much paint would I need for two coats?
I will post some pix soon and find the proper venue to introduce myself.
Cheers, Stew Fischer

Thanks a lot, Andreas, for answering my questions. I can live without the "eye brow," but I think a "Sea Lancer" emblem might look pretty cool on my dash.
Andreas, I was curious if you ever came across a serial number higher than mine (28444)? Last time we discussed this, you said you had recorded a #28135 for a '67 Sea Lancer. Always wondered if I have the LAST Peshtigo-built Sea Lancer.

Stew,
Welcome aboard!
The only source for the correct Lemonade Yellow paint is George Kirby, Jr. Paint Company in New Bedford, Mass. They must custom mix it, it is not one of their standard colours. Telephone them, do not email. tell 'em I sent ya.
What is the hull ID of your boat (stamped into the wood of the transom)?
What model Sea Lancer is she? 900 or 950 (see picture above)?
Can you provide me with your contact information? to add to the database
You may email me directly: thompsonboat at msn.com

Ken,
I recently added a Thompson of Peshtigo boat to my database with serial number 28276 and hull ID H 70209. She is a 1967 Off-Shore located in eastern Washington.
Serial number 28444 is in my database but only shown as 18 footer with OBC ratings of 125 HP and 2810 pounds. No owner information. No hull ID. Is this your boat???
28444 still is the highest serial number in my records.
Serial number 28444 may be a 1967 or 1968 model year boat. There is no way to determine for certain. Thompson Bros. Boat Mfg. Co. ceased making wooden boats in 1969. So I doubt a Sea Lancer made in 1967 or 1968 was the last one built.
The database I have created is not of boats shipped. It is of boats that are known to exist today. It is created from information submitted to me by owners like you. There are probably hundreds or thousands of boats still out there today that I do not have in the database becasue no one has submitted the information to me.
And a great deal of the information I have received is incomplete. For example I have a 1964 Sea Coaster in the list with serial number and hull ID. The only other information I have is a first name of the owner. No last name, no location, no contact information.
