Anreas,
Nice rig.
What did you have to pay for it?

Not sure. Probably less than $20.00. I had the exact same set up when I was a kid! They got destroyed along the way! I do actually have a fair number of my old Matchbox cars and trucks still from the good old days. They were my favorite toy.

Andreas, Matchbox Miniatures, I had almost forgotten them. English made by Lesney if I recall. Good to see your transom is fully supported. I wonder if this is the origin of the use of guide-ons for boat trailers? I had, and may have somwhere still, a similar unit but the trailer did not have the guide-ons thus the tan runabout boat wasn't as well secured. Never saw the car top unit before, very cool. I had the Esso gas station, a little tow truck, a horse van, and a bulldozer with little moving rubber treads and some others. My parents used to get me one for a good report card or for not fussing when getting shots, etc. and my Dad and I made a wall rack to hold them and learn some basic wood working skills in the process. Good times, simpler times. Regards, John
