fully aware of murphy's law, i'd appreciate ANY ideas on how to sand the inside of my '57 sea coaster around the brass bolts and nuts (without removing any of the bolts and nuts). being new to these boats, i don't want to damage or disturb anything which could cause problems down the line. liquid paint/varnish remover? brass brush? wire wheel? the boat is braced so that most of the frames have been removed. so, while i'm making new frames, i thought this would be a good time to refinish the interior. thanks...

There is no simple or easy means to remove the finishes on the interior. Combination of sanding, scraper, and chemical strippers. Work with 'em all and see what works best for you. It takes a great deal of time and patience.
