Well I steam bent and installed the remainder of the frames for my cedar strip runabout.
I replaced 80% of them and will start rebuilding the transom. I have some 40 year old Honduran Mahogany will be using.
Here is a link to a photo of the completed frames:

Karl
Thanks!
It has been a lot of fun so far. Starting to move along pretty good. I will put up some photos when I complete the transom.

Nice work.
I see two different boats in your pictures. One is a model 240 Take-Along (yellow paint with red spray rail) and the other is a cedar stip hull with a front and mid deck.

Thanks Andreas
That is a picture of a 240 I found for sale. When I first saw the picture I noticed the trim around the outside edge of the transom. I had seen the same detail on a Tomahawk and wondered if this was typical to these types of boats.
I found out, (I think from you) this is used on canvas covered boats.
Thanks again

Steve,
You did a great job on your rib replacements. Looks like a new boat.
Keep us posted on your progress.
Good Luck,

Very nice work. Did you also replace the sister keelsons? If so, how did you make them? I need to replace mine and not sure how to duplicate the tapered angle as they run to the front of the boat.

Thanks Brad
I did not replace them. They had some small bad spots you can't really see that I was able to remove and replace with epoxy filler.
I thought about replacing them if they could not be repaired. If I did I would probably use the old ones as forms and steam and glue up strips and shape it from there.
It is pretty thick material. Im not sure about doing a solid piece.
I hope that helps.
