Stain over Mas Epoxies
I have seen posts of stain use after using CPES on plywood with success. Has anyone used a stain on mahogany after coating it with Mas Epoxy or for that matter even before the use of Mas Epoxy. Thanks for any help or comments.

JALL,
I just looked over the MAS site and from what I am seeing their materials are basically the same as West System and other epoxy resin products.
These products are not the same as the Smith's CPES product. CPES is designed to penitrate into the wood fibers themselves and seal the wood. See Smith Company site at www.smithandcompany.org/CPES/index.html
From what I saw, MAS is a epoxy coating that sits on top of the wood and bonds to the wood fibers on the surface.
I would think if this is what you are thinking about using then you will have to stain before applying the epoxy.
Good Luck,
