Texas Winter snow damage

We usually don't have much of what you guys up north call winter, but every 10 years or so.... Fort Worth received over 10 inches of snow on Feb 11th, That may not sound like much to those from Michigan but it was more than our Marinas could stand.
The boat houses sank from the weight of the snow and some collapsed.
One of our club members got his 1939 Chris Craft sedan cruiser out of a sinking dock just hours before it collapsed completely.
Many of the docks sank 5ft plus. These photos were supplied by club members. Many boats were OK but could not be gotten to for several days.
Thankfully my boats were on trailers. One week later we have 60s and sunshine. How do you guys put up with this?
