Dash restoration and chrome pieces...

Post by rwebber77 »

I am looking to restore the dash gauges and bow light on my '65 Thomboy, however I know nothing about it. My bow light (Aqua Marine) works perfectly, just needs to be re-chromed and also needs new red/green lens. Any suggestions on how to restore the dash or acquire replacement lens would be great.

Thanks!

There are firms that rechrome metals all over the country. Network with other local vintage boaters and ask them where they have had chroming done.

There also are professional gauge restorers. Dale Kocian in Green Bay, WI is one: 920-336-1591, www.ccgauges.com. Clawson is another - somewhere in the Pacific Northwest. There is another in the greater Chicago area, the guy who taught Kocian.
