Tarp attachment?

Post by pcbres12 »

The Thompson I have has a problem with the tarp. Where I normally keep it, I just use bungee cords to secure the tarp on it, b/c the boat is on a life. But where I am now, the boat won't be on a lift, just in the water. Anyone have any good ideas on a system I can make to secure the tarp? Such as snaps, zipper, etc.? Something easy to make and that is discrete and inexpensive.

-Thanks!

Is your tarp made for boats or a regular square type from a hardware store? Dan

pcbres12,

Why not get regular canvas cover made for your boat or one of those universal boat cover sold at Big Box Stores. They tend to be easier to keep on the boat then a regaular retangluar tarp.

If you have one made to fit your boat they will attach snaps or hooks so the cover will stay on.

Good Luck,

Phill
