Spray-On Varnish?

Happy New Year!

Has anyone heard of spraying varnish with a paint spray gun? Would this work at all?

I'm thinking it might be easier to spray the interior hull, especially under the deck. Dumb idea or what?

I think it is just fine for the ceiling and under the deck. If you have the correct equipment that is. I would not spray decks, transom, etc..., but that's my personal preference.

I bought a 100.00 HVLP wagner sprayer and sprayed the inside of my hull with "no-sand" varnish and it worked great. It saved a lot of time and looks very good. I did do a little bit of sanding. With just a little bit of practice its not hard to get good results. Jim
