I made a trip to the wooden boat show at Mystic Seaport in CT last weekend. It was a great show with lots of beautiful wood, though I would have liked to see more boats, especially small runabouts. Dig on what was sitting along the main walk. I can't recall now what it was, but it was for sale at a 1000 bucks. An untouchd barn find. Rational thought took over and I passed up the "opportunity". That's my son "not leaning" on the boat.
then in the boat house: listed as never restored or repaired
and last but not least, for you Evinrude and Johnson fans these were on the back of some Chris Craft reproduction kit boats. These kits are exact reproductions of the orgianal kits (James Craft I think the compay name is - they are the only ones licensed to make them).

Cool photos. What a great place for a classic boat show!
The boat in the photos (outside) is definately NOT a Thomboy model. It is one of the many TVT models, which one I don't know. Nice paint job on the deck - drips much?!
I don't recall seeing all that corrosion on the Evinrude outboard motor that's on the Thompson boat inside tone of the museum buildings. I was there in April 2007. I probably just didn't pay attention!
Yes, the NEW kit boats are being made and sold by James Craft. James Shotwell started up this endeavor. He actually sold last year it but told me last wekend that James Craft is still doing well.
