How to attach the mahogany Half round trim molding to the bottom of the top stained lapstrake.
Do I use glue and screws? What glue would you suggest?

That part on my '57 Lancer was attached with small copper or brass/bronze tacks - more of a head than finishing nails. No glue or screws, except for a single brass screw at each end that was covered with putty.

The little nails are called escutchion pins. Maybe predrill the hole so you don't split the wood.
