I have two stamps on my transom
[/img]
The first number of each series is what I need help with. The first number of the second series looks like a 6 to some. Expand the first picture and it looks like a 5 to me.
Feedback please.
Help w/ transom stamped numbers. Is it a 5 or a 6?

It look like the lower number 50980 was crossed out using a "0" stamp and then restamped with the 60116. It all most like it was built at the end of the year and then was renumbered the following year. Could they have run it back down the line for some reason and decided to renumber it? Very strange to say the least.
Erase numbers

Great observation. All horizontal "0" is probably an attempt to disregard the lower number.
I wonder how many boats were made in '65?
Where does 980 fall in production?
What reasons are there for renumbering?
And nobody wanted to put their letter at the end of my numbers!
Is there a CSI Peshtigo? I need answers.
How many boats were produced in 1965 and 1966?
Are there records of who these boats were shipped or sold?
