Looking at a 1960 Cruisers with a delamination deck. Has anyone re glued the veneer with any success? Maybe 10 spots 1" x 4".

If so how did you do it?

John,
I have had pretty good luck with using thinned epoxy injected into layers through a large syringe, then weighing it down with bricks seperated by oiled plastic. Any epoxy that seeps out will not adhere to greasy plastic.
Sorry I missed Keels and Wheels, was booked in California.

Thanks Dan.

I was hoping something like that might work.

You missed a great show.

My 7 year old grand daughter and my neighbors 11 year old son built a one sheet plywood pram during the show, demonstrating family boat building. Had maybe 30 other kids over 2 days help, some for several hours and some just to drive a 3 or 4 screws.

Probably got 20 to 30 kids excited about building wood boats. Could have made 10 or so parents upset, because I heard the kids ask Mom and Dad when they could start building their own boat.

SW Chapter of ACBS raffled off the completed boat at the end of the show.

Hope to see you next year.
