The hull ID "Y2A09086" is odd. This indicates this boat is the 9,086th boat made in the year that ends with 2 (1962 in this case). Thompson just didn't make that many boats in 1962. The serial number falls in the 1961-1962 range. Are you certain of this hull ID? Is it possible that the last digit is a letter of the alphabet? This might make more sense.
You can get Thompson Boat brochures on a CD-ROM from Dan Miller at www.dragonflycanoe.com or thru www.wcha.org. These will show pictures of most models each year and give spcifications.
There are pictures of boats on this site in the "Dockside Boats" section. I have some pictures on my website: www.freewebs.com/thompsonboat/index.html. The following website also has pictures: http://groups.yahoo.com/group/classicoutboards/
