What kind of battery do i need for it?

sorry, i meant, it's a 1956 evinrude lark 35 hp engine. What kind of bettery do i need for that???

According to my shop manual you will need a 6 Volt battery for your motor.

Hello your motor can not be a 1956 because they were a 30 hp that year only. my 30 hp Big Twin Electric does start off a 12 volt but 6 volt is correct that year.
