Plank Refasten - NEED SCREWS

Post by Tim the Toolman »

Hello all,
All (760 or so) of the machine screws fastening the planks between ribs on my 1968 20' Offshore are #6-32 X 1" Philips flat Head with a nut, either brass or bronze, not exactly sure which. I need about 800 of these things and having trouble finding silicon bronze that small. MUST be Philips. Looked at most of the suppliers noted on the site. Any help with this particular fastener? Thanks very much, Tim

Thank you Andreas and thank you Verne! I hadn't thought about McMaster Carr and also looked at Grainger's who has them and is on my way home. Thank you again, Tim

Just saw your post about screws/refastening. How far from the original fastener did you put the new one?
