Getting there

Post by gaff »

Almost done!

Here is a photo:

Paint and varnish done decals on.

Figures the last coat and I some dust in the final coat of varnish. Any recommendations to smooth it out without another coat?

Thanks

Steve

She sure is a beauty! I see that you have her all set up with a nice vintage helm, so will you hang a vintage outboard on the transom as well? That rig would be a real hit at any of the Antique Outboard Motor Club outings. The guys would love to see that rig. You could check out "upcoming events" at aomci.org , maybe find a meet near by.

Thanks Joe!

I'm very pleased with the was she has turned outdo far.

The boat is a 49 but the motor is a 57 18hp Evinrude.
Have been looking for the proper vintage but it runs real strong.

I am going to join the local antique boat groups. I will check out the AOMCI. We have a nice wooden
boat show here in NE Georgia in the Spring. Thought I would have it done
but I missed it.

Thanks again

Steve
