Steering wheel
Do the spokes on the 1957 Cruisers Inc steering wheel point up or down when going straight forward? Looking at the Thompson CD the steering wheel on the cover of the '58 Cruisers Inc catalog almost looks two-tone. Did steering wheels come from the factory mounted or were they dealer add-ons? Thanks

Re: Steering wheel
JALL,
Looking at the back cover of the Cruisers 1958 catalog the spokes are shown in the up position. I think depending on who installed the steering wheel the spoke location will depend on what they thought looked right.
Accessories could be installed at the factory or installed by the dealers themselves.
And yes, some of the steering wheels were two tone. It depended on the manufacturer and what model wheel was purchased.
I remember wheels the had clear plastic in areas with metal flake imbedded in the plastic and solid color in other areas.
Good Luck,
Phill
