Hello All,
I tried to find where this may have been answered before but could not. Can anyone tell me the proper way to install new silicon bronze screws? Should I coat the threads with boat life caulk or something or just screw them in. The area I am most concerned with is putting the spray rail back on. Thanks in advance for any assistance!

Re: Installing Silicon Bronze Screws
I didn't use anything on the screws when I re-ribbed my boat.
Now as far as the splash rail goes I used some boat life in the screw holes.
I thought about back buttering the entire rail but didn't want to deal with the mess of the excess squirting out upon tightening.
As I recall the screw on the thinnest end of the rail was sticking out into the boat when I pulled the rail off.
So I am thinking that it came that way from the factory.
Karl.
