Last week I posted some Mahogany I milled for the deck on the boat I am working on.
I was pretty impressed with the look of the wood. It is very even in tone and grain.
Well today I milled the remainder and was disappointed in the look of the wood compared to the first run.

I was not planning on staining the deck, but finishing it natural. I have some interlux Mahogany filler stain and I am wondering if the stain could even things out?
Any advice would be appreciated.
Steve

Clicked on the link, took me to the site, but couldn't view your pics. Can you post the photos some other way? Or is the problem on my end?

Re: Deck Wood Variations
Steve,
The filler stain should even out the wood tones, but there may still be a little differance between the lighter wood and the darker areas. That is the nature of wood and is what I like about building things with wood.
Try a test area on the bottom side of the deck boards where it will be hidden and see how it comes out and go from there.
Good Luck,
Phill
