The original knee on this little 12' boat I am doing was screwed and glued to the motor board of the transom.
I am not sure if this is the proper thing to do with the new one I am installing.
Can anyone provide any insight on this?
Thanks
Steve

If the existing part was glued and screwed, it makes sense to do the same to the replacement piece.

I would agree but the original transom was replaced at some point with a plywood transom. The plywood was not typical but maybe gluing the parts together is.
Thanks
