Yar Craft Boat firm has been sold. The relatively new factory at Wausau, WI will shut down and production will move.
Yar Craft was started in Menominee, Michigan in 1969 by Jack Dallman. He had been vice president and general manager of Thompson Bros. Boat Mfg. Co. previously. He worked at Cruisers, Inc. and Thompson Skis, Inc. prior to joining Thompson in 1967. He worked earlier in his career at Dorsett Plastics in Bremen, Indiana.

Hmmm, I wonder what that will mean for the recently reincarnated Thompson brand.
Yar Craft was building them to order and from what I've heard, with the state of the current new boat market, only 2 of the new 240 Fisherman Thompsons were built (got that from the owner of one of those 2 new builds).
It'd kinda be a shame if that went away again in this transition.
