Thanks! I had to build something decent because I have a Saint Bernard who occasionally romps through the garage. That's not something I'd like seeing sitting on the floor after a crazy episode from the dog!

Not a huge update but some progress is better than no progress! Started tearing into the splash well. Trying to get all the gas out of the tank and get it cleared out. More gas than I thought in there. http://sphotos.ak.fbcdn.net/hphotos-ak-snc4/hs973.snc4/76692_1334412858786_1785026171_659152_44396...

First thing that needed to be done was to make a motor stand so we can get this motor off the transom. It's a '65 Merc1000 so had to build something beefy. Got some help my 1 year old son Blake. http://i252.photobucket.com/albums/hh39/NickRummy/Boat/10-28-10%20Motor%20Stand/photo1.jpg Measure twice,...

Rummy's '64 T&T Breakers Restoration/Repair

Hello everyone! I've been a browser of the forum for quite some time. I've spoke with Andreas a lot over the past few years about my '64 T&T. He's a great guy for that (and most boats for that matter) mainly because his father has the same exact boat! Pretty neat. Anyways, I wanted to start a re...

Question for the original poster and whoever else is planning on doing rib replacement. How much of the rib are you guys planning on replacing or doing the whole thing? I'd say %75 of the ribs in my boat are rotten at the keelson. It looks like they are in good shape at or above the sister keelsons....

Great progress!

I'll be keeping an eye on this restoration as I plan on doing the same thing to my T&T.

Help needed in Ohio with '64 T&T (repair job)

I thought I'd post and see if there was anyone in Ohio who might be interested in guiding me through some repairs I need to make on my 64 T&T? The boat was handed to down to me from my grandfather. He bought it in '82 and spent a few years getting it in running order. He did some patch work on a...

I did find this. I think I'd like a single horn kit but this is basically what I'm looking for. I just want as close to original as possible. (that was offered)

Thanks guys. I do think I want to stick with an air horn. I have a handheld now as I like to go up to erie occasionally and like something noisy. How loud are those electric trumpets compared to the air horns?

I'll give that site a try!

Perfect explanation :D Makes good sense. Why did they make all these different names instead of just spreading the Thompson bros boat MFG name? So they only made my style boat for 4-5 years and even though it might have been designed and made by people in the Thompson family the name is a T&T. G...

So is T&T just a division of Thompson? Why does the bow have such a different design than other Thompsons? Was Glenn part of the Thompson boat company or how was he related to who was? I'm guessing T&T stood for thompson & thompson maybe? Sorry probably silly questions. I just haven't re...

do you have any history on why the T&T name was used in those 3-4 years?
