Hi Karl, I should clarify that the seller listed it as a '60's horn because of the boat it came off of which I realize now does not mean anything. I looked at the pieces of our Cruiser that are dismantled while we are refinishing it and there are no marks on anything except the stern light which has...

Hi Andreas, Thank you for your reply. My literature for the '62 Cruiser shows horns on the 302. if you look at the brochure pictures I have on my website the boats show a double trumpet horn as well as a bell horn. The accessories sheet shows what options were available and a single or double horn w...

Looks like a nice one when it is finished... keep us posted! I just got back from a week in the 1,000 islands in upstate NY. Went to the Clayton Antique boat show and saw some beauties. Got a line on a marina there that has a lot of old parts and hardware. Went to visit and found a lot of stuff ther...

The caulk is pretty sound, it is just rough looking... as though the previous person did not smooth it out very well. The boat was in the water last summer and did not take on any water. The inside seams are very clean as well as the boards. We are just going to go over some areas with a good silico...

It is a real concern that we do not emit toxic dust everywhere... my husband has asthma and I am allergic to everything that moves in the air it seems! We will consider your recommendation about stripping first... and go from there. I agre...

Thank you for your insight, Andreas! One other question about paint.... The underside of the hull to the waterline is painted a bright blue. I have been doing a little research on the subject and also have the original catalog and price list for the Cruiser. They mention an "anti-fouling copper...
