site ideas
I finally was able to log in with a new 13 code password. I too have been concerned with the complete lack of use and structure of this site. I have talked with Andreas about it but he just tells me to call Miles. I feel the site would be used alot more if it was just for promoting and finding these...

Re: Purchasing our first boat.
Andreas covered all the rot issues. If you are looking for a Sea Coaster or Sea Lancer there are many things to consider like size and year along with mahagony or vinyl. Mine is an all Mahogony 1958 Sea Lancer but in 62 and again in 64 they redesigned the hull shape. These later hulls are great but ...

finally tracked down a boat
The seller in Mi with a 18' 1965 Vhull finally got pictures sent to me by a neighbor. I am not interested but a nice boat with a Merc 110 IO. Another very rare boat is on Eau Claire CL and is a 21', 1965, cabin cruiser. Talked to owner and most parts there and hull is possibly OK. Also has a nice mo...

Another way we can help each other
I live in northern Wi which is an area with lots of boats for sale. I have helped four members out with buying their boat by going to look at it for them and saving them a long trip just to find a hogged bottom etc. If they found it and I was not interested in that model, I would never jump the sale...

1965 V hull?
I might have found a rare Thompson in my area. An old fellow without a computer but has an old Thompson. After talking to him, I think it is a 1965 V1850 Sea Lancer Deluxe with a Merc 110 IO. I love my 58 Sea Lancer but I feel this might be a great hull(full V) I have two questions. What do you thin...

getting some old engines
I can pick up from a friend 2 1956 30 hp. Johnsons, a 57 35hp, and a Evinrude 1955 25. It even has controls and electric start. I can get them VERY cheap. Any thoughts on parts, restoration problems, etc. The 25hp. is in great shape cosmetically. Would be nice on a deluxe TNT!

Tee Nee colors and parts
My 1945 small trailer needs to be redone. The expert in Mn. uses Ford chrome yellow for paint but was wondering what the axile, rims, supports are painted? Maybe black? Found a guy in Ohio for parts but I think he is sick and no longer in business. Other sources for parts? Also any thought on a Thomp...

1945 fishermans rowboat
Finishing ribs soon but I think this boat originally had a straight 2 board back seat rather than the wrap around kind. Also that it came from the factory a very light grey inside instead of varnish. I think the dealer might have ordered several for resorts etc. and got a deal on boats that had the ...

Thompson water ski models and price?
Went to a garage sale today and found a pair of Thompson Imperial Combos for sale for $150. They were in great condition. Price seems high but does anybody know about Thompson skis?

1945 rowboat wood
My rowboat is all stripped and ready to be rebuilt. It was one step out of the burn pile so the inside will be green and not varnish. Hopefully can save the redwood seats and the new seat rails, transom, and gunnels will be varnish along with the seats. Kiel and transom will be white oak but thinkin...

a 45-46 guide boat
Just bought a 45-46 Thompson guide boat. It has been in the garage for over 30 years up in Mercer ,Wi. There was no seriel number or tag but the owner had the original bill of sale from his uncle in 1946. Purchased in the Minocqua Woodruff area. It is 14' cedar strip with the canvas overlay. The tra...

forum question?
When I first joined I mentioned an old motor for sale -(not by me) and I violated a site policy. I have noticed several posts about boats for sale.I just looked at a 65 Sea Lancer for sale near me and could give advice for somebody looking for one that is not in the immediate area. I feel this could...

part and or new trailer
Where can I get another roller for my 61 tee nee trailer? I have also thought of a new trailer for my 58 Sea Lancer. A friend in NH suggested the Loadmaster built in Ohio. They make custom ones for these old boats and especially Lymans. I noticed several Yacht Club trailers at the boat show. With my...
