You can use merc hi-viscocity gear lube for that motor. The 105 is for the really old non shift motors.

From the factory they were coverd with rubber and stapled to a cardboard backing by the terminals. That part unfortunetly went NLA back in the ninetys and there are two different switches, one for electrc shift and one for hydroelectric shift so when searching for a used one I would suggest finding ...

more than likely if it jumps out of gear the knurling on the forward hub has worn down causing the spring to slip.
