Jacking a hog out of the bottom
I have a slight hog forward of the transom. My boat is in my garage on stands now. What can I wet the wood with when I jack it back in line. I am stripping the paint and treating with CPES. I hate dumbing water it to wet the wood down at this point.

Keelson rib joint
Part of my keelson was replaced at some point in the past. The ribs just butt up to the keeson without any conection. What would you recommend as a way of attachment between the keelson and ribs?

Outer keel attachment
My outer keel on my 55 Offshore was attached with 3/8 lag bolts. Is this original or should it be attached with #12 screws like the stem?

Bow flag/burgee
Does any one know a source for a Thompson burgee with the sea gull logo? I contacted one source on Ebay and they said it was trade marked now by the Thompson Antique & Classic Boat Rally Inc and they could no longer produce it.

After tearing into my boat further I notice that the ribs go into notches in the side of the keelson toward the bow. But I notice that toward the stern they seem to terminate along side the keelson with some white filler between the ends of the ribs and keelson. As far as I can see the keeson is not...

Long shaft vs short shaft
My transom on my Offshore measures about 15 inches from the top of the transom to the bottom not counting the outer keel. I have read that 15 inches call for a short shaft. Can I get away with using a long shaft on this boat?

55 Offshore engine
I have a 55 Offshore and I am looking for the right size engine. I have a nice 65 Evinrude 33 hp Skitwin, and a 60 40 hp Lark that needs a little work. I am afraid that the 33 will be too under powered for this boat with a family of four. I am looking at a 61 Johnson 50 hp. I know these engines like...
