Can't help you with the bubbles, but it looks like you got a good one. I didn't notice any dark spots where water was left standing, except a little towards the bow. The 4 would make it a 1964, to agree with Andreas' information. The 1501 would make it the 1501st boat made in 1964.

Thanks Andreas. I didn't think about using that. What do you use around the outside edge to seal it to the hull? Would 5200 be good for that too? Obviously, I don't plan on having to do this again, so getting it apart shouldn't be an issue!! Would Boatlife be a better product for this?
